I don’t write lots of poetry. Most of it comes from high school, when in withdraw after a year with a great English teacher I would write on the lengthy bus ride home. I’ve included a few of those poems, perhaps incredibly, in this collection that is half meant for children and half about them. There are some good poems in here. “Calisthenes” is my favorite. Absurdly, it’s probably the poem that took the least time to create. “Elizabeth Sonnet” has got quite a good form (for which we must thank Shakespeare mostly). And several of them are nonsense, but they sound nice…!
